Masquerade Party

Kassidee turned 7 last November and we threw her her first "real" birthday party (with all her friends) She wanted a masquerade party because ever since she was younger and saw Barbie 3 Musketeers  she has loved the idea of the masks. We had a mystery hunt and the girls got to find the mystery treasure at the end. Dan made up the whole hunt and it was quite impressive ;) We played musical mystery mask (like musical chairs, just passing the mask) Then we also played charades. Kassidee loves that game and I thought that it went right along with out mystery theme.

This was the treasure that was found and the girls loved spending the next part of the party decorating their own masquerade masks with fancy gems, glitter paint,  and sparkly stickers. They also got bead necklaces to have.

This year Kassidee opt for cupcakes instead of a cake. So my mom (who was also there and a big help at the party) and I tried to attempt chocolate masks for the cupcakes. They were fun! :)

 Nate enjoying his cupcake too!
