Easter Traditions

I don't know the story of coloring eggs, or hiding baskets, but some how it became one of the #1 things to do at easter. I love this holiday. It has always been one of my favorites (for a few reasons) 1. it is fun to color eggs, and even more fun watching my children do it now. 2. I love spring! and, 3 I have always loved bunnys and easter baskets! My mom would hide our easter baskets so that we were hunting for them practically all day. She got better and better at it every year. (plus we were a year older and that was enough reason to upgrade "the hunt". Some of her best spots through the year were, in the oven, in the dryer, on the front porch, in a pot (with the lid on), under the sink, in the piano. The best was one year when she tied a rope to the handle of the basket and lowered out a back door (we had no deck so it was a drop off) to hang till it was found. Luckily that one was not mine :) Hope you all had a happy easter.

AAAhh! That picture of Aubrey with her hand in the dye makes me cringe! You are a brave mom! This was the first year I have ever dyed eggs with my kids cause it intimidated me for some reason. Looks like you had a great weekend.
