Obituary
Helen Marr Nielsen Michaelis passed away peacefully Sept. 10, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones. Born Feb. 18, 1926, in Ogden to John Willard Nielsen and Agnita Mary Hansen. Helen married her eternal companion and love of her life, Harry Eugene Michaelis on June 3, 1943, in Logan and sealed in the Logan Temple Dec. 22, 1943. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. All who knew her always knew they were in good hands, for her hands were always doing good things for them. A delicious meal, a warm place to stay at night and always a tender hug to push your cares aside. All who knew her knew they were loved by her and always welcome in her home. A dedicated member of the LDS Church, she loved serving for many years in both the Salt Lake Temple and Logan Temple with her husband. She is survived by her husband Gene and children, Terry (Becky), Kimberlee (Charlie), Ann (Steve), Clifford (Joyce), Kevin (Debbie), Kip (Wendy), Todd (Sandy) and Deidre (Miles), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Wellsville LDS Chapel, 660 S. 100 W. Wellsville. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the funeral services. God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered "My daughter, come with me". She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain, God took her to His loving home and freed her from her pain. | |
